Optional End Time for Dynamic Timers
Dynamic Timers enhance the exclusivity of your offers. Previously, you had to set a fixed expiration time, giving customers different windows of opportunity. With this update, everyone gets a fair and consistent experience!
⭐️How Will These Changes Affect You:
To add more flexibility to the dynamic timer you have two ways to step it up now, let's check them out
Set Time Countdown: When the end time option is enabled, the countdown will expire at the specified time. For example, if the customer opens the email at 5 PM and your set time is 8 PM, they will have three hours to take the offer.
Duration-Based Countdown: When the end time option is disabled, the countdown expires once the duration is over. For example, if the duration is six hours, the timer will start counting after being triggered regardless of the end time.
⭐️How To Disable The End Time?
If you only want your timer to use the duration, and not have a set ending time, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Countdown Timers tab inside the Marketing section and create a new timer.
Select a template then click Continue.
Choose Dynamic as the timer type.
Set the Duration, disable Set End Time, and select the start trigger.
Following these steps, you can create a Dynamic timer that offers the same window to all customers regardless of when they interact with the email. This is perfect for event-based emails, such as birthday discount codes or re-engagement after an abandoned cart.
